Joined KONGSBERG in 2016 as Chief Administration Officer covering responsibility for corporate functions including HSE, HR, Legal, Compliance, CSR, Communication IT and Security. She was a member of the BODs Compensation committee and the Audit Committee. President and MD of Kongsberg Maritime China operations covering Strategy and Business Development, Sales, Project Execution, Commissioning and Customer Services. Representing KM in Norwegian Business Association in China NBA as Director of the Board. Relocated to Shanghai China 1.3.2018. Mr. Hing Chao is the Chairman of Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings, an Executive Committee member of Hong Kong Shipowners Association, a trustee of Hong Kong Maritime Museum, as well as the chairman of Bureau Veritas Asia & Australia Committee. After graduating from Durham University, Mr. Chao was placed in a number of shipping companies to gain experience and develop a broad understanding of the industry. Since 2000 he has pursued a cross-sector career in business, culture and heritage, philanthropy and education. In 2015 he joined Wah Kwong’s Board of Directors, having occupied various positions in the company across the real estate and shipping sectors, and having established a successful career in culture and heritage. He is the founder of Hong Kong Culture Festival, and the author of multiple books. In 2017, he was an awardee by Secretary for Home Affairs' Commendation Scheme for his distinguished support to the promotion of culture and arts.

Logan Chong

Logan joined BNP Paribas in July 2007, in charge of China shipping market. He was the Head of Shipping Finance, Asia Pacific and Maritime Sector Head, Asia in Societe Generale, directly reporting to the CEO of Asia Pacific, before he joined BNP Paribas. Logan has been in Societe Generale for 12 years, and has over 25 years banking experience in structured finance, including 5 years in aircraft financing (US double-dip tax leasing), over 20 year experience in shipping finance and shipping client relationship coverage in the region. Logan is a frequent veteran speaker in various shipping conferences and seminars, including the recent one held at the end of Oct by China EXIM Bank at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. He is the pioneer in structured finance in Asia. Logan successfully closed the first UK tax lease in Asia for COSCO in 1998, and brought in the first French tax lease to China market in 2006. He structured the first off-balance sheet financing for Chinese client in 2001, which was later on widely used by other international banks.
 
David Gore

Based in Hong Kong, David Gore oversees Societe Generale’s Asset Finance businesses (including Aircraft, Export and Real Estate Finance businesses) in Asia Pacific David also directly manages the Asia Pacific Shipping Finance team of Societe Generale with an objective to lead the team in the origination and execution of a range of structured finance transactions for the shipping and offshore sectors. He leverages on the Bank’s global expertise in financing, advisory and capital markets to further grow SG’s long franchise and support its clients in structured finance in Asia Pacific. David has worked with Societe Generale in Hong Kong and Tokyo for the past 23 years across Energy, Project and Asset Finance and in that time has led numerous multi-award winning and ground-breaking financings as both Financial Advisor and/or as MLA. Prior to joining Societe Generale, David worked in Project Finance for Banque Paribas in Singapore, National Australia Bank in Australia and in the submarine service of the Royal Australian Navy.

Mr. Bill Guo joined in ICBC Leasing in 2013. He is now Executive Director of Shipping Business Unit, mainly responsible for the leasing business of the container shipping related field and Dry Bulk business. Before working for ICBCL, he had been working for Maersk Group for over 10 years as the management positions in different countries, with the solid knowledge in container shipping business and financial leasing.

John worked until late 1995 at the container shipping Agency “Aseco” with documentation and sales. As from 1996 until 2007, he worked for the Swedish Shipowner “Ahlmark Lines” in Karlstad as Chartering Manager for their fleet of about 15 dry bulk coaster vessels in European trade. From 2007 until 2013, he was employed by Stena RoRo in Gothenburg as Chartering Manager for a fleet of abt 20 RoRo and RoPax vessels. 2013 until present he is working in Shanghai, China for Stena RoRo (Asia) / Stena Shipping as General Manager for Stena’s activities in Asia.

Born in 1962 and graduated from Shanghai Maritime College with Bachelor Degree, Mr. Li was once a chief engineer, college tutor. He is registered ship inspector of Republic of the Marshall Islands, and ISM auditor of China. He is main founder of Sinochem Shipping, AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding and Dingheng Shipping. Now Mr. Li takes on the post of Chairman of Dingheng Group, Dingheng Shipping, Wanfang Leasing and Director of AVIC Dingheng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
 
Dr Tie Yan Liu

Tie-Yan Liu is an assistant managing director of Microsoft Research Asia, a fellow of the IEEE, and a distinguished scientist of the ACM. He is an adjunct/honorary professor at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), University of Nottingham, and Tsinghua University. He is very well known for his pioneer work on machine learning for information retrieval, and recently he has done impactful research on deep learning, reinforcement learning, and distributed learning. He published 200+ papers in top conferences and journals, with tens of thousands of citations. He won the best (student) paper award at SIGIR (2008) and ACML (2018), the most cited paper award at Journal of Visual Communications and Image Representation (2004-2006), the most cited Chinese researcher award by Elsevier, China AI Leader Award – Technical Innovation (2018), and Most Influential Scholar Award by AMiner (2007-2017). Many of his AI technologies have been transferred to Microsoft’s products and online services (including Bing, Advertising, Windows, Xbox, and Azure), and open-sourced through Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit (CNTK), Microsoft Distributed Machine Learning Toolkit, and Microsoft Graph Engine. His team helped Microsoft achieve human parity on machine translation in 2018 and won 8 champions in the WMT machine translation contest in 2019. In addition, his team also helped several industrial partners, including Asset Management China (AMC), China Taiping, OOCL, and SF-Express, to achieve successful digital and intelligent transformation.
 
Steve Saxon

Steve Saxon is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Shanghai office. Steve joined McKinsey in London in 2000, and transferred to Asia in 2005. He is a core member of our transport, infrastructure and logistics practice, focusing on shipping and ports. His work includes strategy development with container lines, performance improvement through revenue enhancement and cost reduction, and supporting private equity investors into shipping. He has supported several of the recent successful container liner mergers. Steve helps ports in their long term plans and productivity improvement. His recent publications have included the priorities for a container line CEO, the view of shippers on the future container industry, and the cost potential of the new alliances.

Mr Steve Siu has been with OOCL for over 30 years, presently assuming the role of Chief Information Officer. He is also the Deputy Managing Director of Information Technology at COSCO Shipping Lines and the CEO of CargoSmart.
Mr. Siu is a practitioner in the strategic digital transformation of container lines and the industry portal business model. He has tapped into leading edge technologies to develop advanced platform systems and applications for over 30 years, sustaining the company’s IT leadership position. Under Mr. Siu’s leadership, the company has a talent base of over 1,000 developers located in San Jose, Hong Kong, Zhuhai, Shanghai, and Manila to capitalize on the strengths of global resources for developing innovative and award-winning AI solutions. Since early 2018, Mr. Siu has been actively involved in the formation of the Global Shipping Business Network consortium that leverages blockchain technology to revolutionize information exchange in the shipping industry.

Conor Warde is a partner in the Hong Kong office of Mayer Brown. He has a diverse practice advising clients on transactional, corporate, regulatory and policy matters with particular experience in ship finance and maritime transactional matters. He represents companies, commercial lenders and investors in international financings, M&A and other corporate transactions across multiple industries and involving a broad range of corporate finance and investment issues, including senior and subordinated debt financings, asset-based lending transactions, and private equity investments. Conor also has significant experience in representing owners and operators of vessels and other maritime and offshore interests, primarily with regard to private equity and ship and other asset financing transactions; ship sale and purchase and shipbuilding contracts; international and US-specific regulatory compliance; offshore drilling contracts and regulatory matters; international sanctions regimes; and pollution incident response and criminal prosecutions.

As the Deputy Head of the shipping finance team in CMBL which based in Shanghai - he is presently responsible for the marketing/projects developing for the major shipping regions in the world, in support of all commercial activities of CMBL’s shipping finance business. For over 15 years, Jack has involved operating, legal, finance and other related transactions/activities in the maritime industry. He worked with COSCO, Ince law firm and China communications bank. Jack holds a Bsc in Marine Engineering and an MSc in Economics Law and he has graduated from the further educational EMBA programs in the Switzerland Campus of China Europe International Business School

Mr. Xue has been serving as the general manager of SITC Container Lines Co., Ltd since December 2012. Mr. Xue has over 20 years of experience in the shipping industry. He joined SITC in 1997, and has served as the export supervisor, manager of the customer service department and the sales and marketing department, deputy general manager and general manager of SITC Container Lines (Korea) Co., Ltd. Mr. Xue obtained master degree in international shipping and logistics management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in November 2004, and received master degree in business administration from China Europe International Business School in September 2012.

After which, he joined as Freight Trader at Cargill Ocean Transportation in Singapore from 2011-2015 and spent time 2015-2016 in Geneva. In 2016, Yang Lei took the role as Head of Cargill Ocean Transportation China and Asia Pacific Director of Asset and Structure Deal. From April,2019 , Yang lei joined Sumec group as the MD of Sumec ocean transportation which is the shipping arm of the whole group .

Dr. YIN Ming serves as the deputy Secretary-general of Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) and the Secretary-general of International Shipping Think Tank Alliance (ISTTA), also a professor of Shanghai Maritime University (SMU), whose research interests cover theory, policy and business of international shipping. Dr. YIN was invited to work in the headquarters of NORDEN A/S, Copenhagen Denmark, as a management supporter in 2006, and to conduct his post doctor research in Pusan National University, Korea from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he was invited by Regional Maritime University, Ghana to deliver lectures, for 1-2 months per year, to full-time undergraduates from different African countries. He also delivers the National Excellent Open Online Course – Containerization: A Revolution of the Carriage of Goods by Sea, and the Shanghai Excellent Course – Theory and Practice for Liner Shipping. Dr. YIN has solo-/co-authored a dozen of books and dozens of papers. As a team leader or key member, he has finished dozens of projects sponsored/entrusted by National Natural Science Fund of China (NSFC), Ministry of Transport of China, Ministry of Education of China, and relevant shipping/port companies. For his outstanding performance and contribution, Dr. YIN has been awarded for several times by Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Maritime University.
 
Ricky Yip

Mr. Yip has over 40 years of experience in the shipping industry. In 1984 he joined Fairmont Shipping, acting as Assistant Vice President for chartering and operations in both Hong Kong and Vancouver. From 1995 to 2008, he worked with Pacific Basin in Hong Kong and London, and was appointed General Manager of the Commercial Division in Shanghai in 2004, responsible for chartering and newbuilding projects. Mr. Yip is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. Mr. Yip is a Managing Director of Asia Maritime Pacific (HK) Ltd., focusing on the company’s worldwide Handysize trades.
