About the event
TradeWinds will once again host its signature Shipowners Forum at the SMM international maritime trade fair on 4 September 2018, following its successful debut at the
Hamburg-based event last year.
First held in Athens in 2011, TradeWinds Shipowners Forums have since been held in Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, Hamburg and New York.
Raising the bar for shipping conferences worldwide, the Forum’s attendee-lists read like a ‘who’s who’ of shipping. VIP guests, executives of shipowner principals and leading charterers make up 80% of the delegates, with the remainder sponsors and maritime service providers.
In this first TradeWinds Shipowners Forum to be held at SMM, innovative players from Germany and overseas will meet to discuss their strategies to manage and succeed. Delegates will also hear the outlook on markets and the global economy from influential speakers in 2 lively discussion and debate sessions on German's New Dawn and Global Ambition. Our forums are known for lively, informative debate, and delegates will be encouraged to download an app that will allow them to contribute. A short networking reception will then bring the event to a close.
Securing key industry speakers and panelists is key to the success of TradeWinds Shipowners Forums. While the Hamburg programme will evolve in the coming months, we are proud to announce the speakers to date include:
• Kitack Lim, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization
• Stephen Gordon, Offshore and Energy, Shipping and Trade, valuations, Clarksons
• Rolf Habben Jansen, Chief Executive Officer, Hapag-Lloyd
TradeWinds produces Shipowners Forums to deliver the same insightful, thought-provoking punch as its news and analysis. Well-run, intellectually and commercially satisfying events reflect well on us, find out what they could do for you.
