Andrew Barker
Asia Pacific Lead, Ocean Transportation
Andrew Barker is the Asia Pacific Lead for Cargill's ocean transportation business based in Singapore. Andrew is a qualified shipbroker, Merchant Navy Officer, and Director of RightShip. Andrew first joined Cargill in 1992 as part of its London freight team, sebsequently he was appointed office manager in 1996. Cargill promoted Andrew to the position of Global Handy and Handymax Trading Manager in 1999, which saw him relocate to Geneva, Switzerland. 

Before his current role, Andrew led a comprehensive I.T transformation project which involved the development and implementation of an entirely new operating system for the business. In 2006, Andrew became a Director of RightShip, the world's leading maritime risk management and environmental assessment organisation. Andrew served as Chairman of the board from 2015-2017. 
Andrew has experience as a shipbroker with H.E. Moss, and he has also served at Ellerman City Lines, qualifying as a second officer in the Merchant Navy. Andrew was a graduate trainee with Zodiac Maritime, and he holds a bachelor's degree in maritime commerce from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. 
Rashpal Bhatti
Vice President, Marketing Freight
Rashpal was appointed Vice President, Marketing Freight at BHP in August 2015. BHP is a leading global resources company whose purpose is to create long term shareholder value through the discovery,acquisition, development and marketing of natural resources essential to world growth and development. In his capacity as Vice President, Marketing Freight, Rashpal is accountable for BHP’s marine freight requirements which in aggregate make them one of the largest bulk charters in the world. Rashpal joined BHP in 2002 and has held various senior positions across Marketing, Technology and Procurement and has been based in Europe, the US, India and most recently Singapore. He graduated with an honours degree in Accountancy and Finance in London and acquired his core skillset of commodities supply chain and trading at Schlumberger and Enron. Rashpal holds a non-executive Director position on the RightShip Board and is a key proponent of raising performance and safety standards in the bulk marine industry. As a member of Singapore’s International Maritime Centre (IMC) 2030 Advisory Committee, Rashpal contributes to the future of the maritime industry through advice on technological disruption and sustainability.
Matthew Blake
Director, Business Development
Teekay Shipping Singapore
Matthew is a veteran of Teekay Singapore, first joining the company in 1994 and holding a variety of commercial and management roles in Singapore, Houston and now again in Singapore. Matthew is currently responsible for long term projects, a T/C and Hedging portfolio, and for marketing Teekay's Pooling business. He was appointed Director of Business Development for the conventional tanker unit in 2008. Prior to joining Teekay, Matthew worked in the broking community in London, Singapore and Seoul. 
Julian Bray
Julian Bray is Editor-in-Chief of TradeWinds, the shipping business news publisher which since its launch 25 years ago has become a reference point for decision makers in the industry. During a career in business journalism, he has won awards for both reporting and editing and built a track record of product innovation having lead numerous newspaper, magazine and website launches and relaunches. In addition to his specialist knowledge of maritime commerce, he has also been a Correspondent for the Reuters news agency, written for national newspapers and magazines, and made television and radio appearances. Away from the office, a love of the natural work often takes him to wild and mountainous regions to walk, cycle, climb and watch wildlife with family and friends. He also has a passionate interest in politics, culture and music.
Henrik Hartzell

Heidmar (Far East)
Henrik Hartzell is Managing Director of Heidmar (Far East) Pte. Ltd. and is responsible for the commercial performance of the Singapore office and the growth of Heidmar’s business in the east. He was appointed to the Heidmar Executive Committee in May 2012. Throughout his career, Henrik has worked in a variety of roles including charterer, owner and broker. He has experience in small tankers through VLCCs. He started at Partship AB, Sweden, in dry cargo in 1984 and later with Axel Johnson Group. Henrik pursued his career as a tanker broker first with Stemoco Shipping A/S in Oslo, followed by six years with MTMM (Hong Kong) Ltd. and later with Stockholm Chartering AB. In 2001, he was appointed General Manager at Eastern Product Carriers Pte. Ltd., Singapore until 2009, when he joined Heidmar.
Ker Hong Yeow
Head, Corporate Planning, Risk & Performance Management
AET Tankers

Ker Hong Yeow assumed his current position of Head, Corporate Planning, Risk and Performance Management in February, 2018. Hong Yeow started his career in the shipping industry working with PSA Corporation for two and a half years before his move to AET. He began his corporate career with AET as a Senior Executive with NOL in the planning and projects department. In his 17 years with AET, he has held several key positions in business development, commercial vessel operations, and clean petroleum products tanker chartering. In 2009, he was assigned to the Kuala Lumpur office (then the AET corporate headquarters) in Malaysia to assume a role with the new building and commercial projects team, where he stayed for over three years. Prior to his current position, he was appointed the Head of Aframax Pacific, Crude Petroleum Shipping in 2012. 

Jack Hsu
Oak Maritime (Hong Kong)
Jack represents the fourth generation of a shipping family dating back to Charles Eddie Hsu, who founded Eddie Steamship in Shanghai nearly a century ago. His late grandfather, V. K. Eddie Hsu founded Oak Steamship Company Limited in Hong Kong in 1961. In 1992, Jack's father, Steve established Oak Maritime (Hong Kong) Inc. Limited, where Jack has been Managing Director since 2008. Jack is also head of OSS Capital, which is a family office looking after a diversified portfolio of asset classes, where Oak Maritime Group represents the family's core business asset. The Oak Maritime Group fleet currently consists of 20 bulkers and tankers with an aggregate tonnage in excess of 3.5 million deadweight tonnes, and an average age of about 7.6 years. Jack is currently President of Sincere Navigation Corporation, which is the Hsu-family controlled stock-listed company in Taiwan. Jack is Chairman of Hong Kong Shipowners Association, and Director of Britannia Steam Ship Insurance Association Limited. He also served as Chairman to International Shipowners Association of Canada (ISAC) from 2005 to 2007.
Mark Jackson
The Baltic Exchange

Mark Jackson was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Baltic Exchange in January 2017. He had previously been a director of the Baltic Exchange and served as its Chairman 2009-2012. The London headquartered Baltic Exchange is an international provider of benchmark rates for the bulk shipping industry and its 650 shipowning, chartering and shipbroking company members adhere to a code of conduct. It was acquired by the Singapore Exchange in 2016 and Mark is focused on building its London presence and broadening its Asia footprint.

He was previously a director of dry bulk shipowner and operator AM Nomikos & Son (UK) Ltd and the Chief Commercial Officer for the Athens based AM Nomikos Group. Mark has over 35 years of shipping industry experience and started his shipping career in 1981 in Sydney, Australia. After 18 years working as a shipbroker in Sydney, Hong Kong, New York and London, he joined A.M. Nomikos (UK) in 1998.

Vivek Kumar

Vivek is Managing Director at Western Bulk, based in Singapore. Apart from his administrative role, he is also responsible for company’s business in Asia and New projects. Vivek has started and managed multiple businesses both in bulk and break-bulk in India/Middle East/Africa and Australia. He joined WBC as operations Manager and has been with them for 11 years, rising progressively through various ranks to now as Managing Director. Previous experiences include dry bulk broker with Braemar Seascope and engineer with NYK on board their ships.
Peter Lye
Global Head of Shipping
Anglo American Group
Peter Lye is Global Head of Shipping for the Anglo American Group based in Singapore. Peter is responsible and leads all Anglo American Group ocean freight activity (including safety, chartering, scheduling, financial trading and vessel operations) for large dry bulk, minor bulks and containers. Including a growing non-equity cargo base. Peter joined Anglo American in February 2012. Prior to joining Anglo American, Peter spent 15 years with Rio Tinto in various financial, commercial and marketing roles across a range of commodities, including marine, coal and iron ore. Peter has a Master degree in business and technology from the University of New South Wales, and a Bachelor degree in Commerce and a Bachelor degree in Arts from the Australian National University. Peter is also a certified practicing accountant.
Lars Malmbratt

Stena Bulk
Lars Malmbratt is General Manager of Stena Bulk in Singapore. Before this role Lars held a management position at Stena Bulks Gothenburg office. His career in Stena started 1996 when he joined Stena Oil as logistical and sales manager. Over the years Lars held various positions within Stena Oil including Managing Director. Holds a MBA from University of Gothenburg, School of Business Economics and Law.
James Marshall
Berge Bulk
James Marshall is the CEO and founder of Berge Bulk. He began his career in shipping in offshore supply vessels, before moving to containers and then dry bulk. In 2007, he started Berge Bulk, purchasing 12 ships from the old Bergesen fleet. Berge Bulk now owns and operates a fleet of over 70 ships with a carrying capacity, including new buildings of over 12 million DWT. He holds an MA from Cambridge University and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland. James Marshall also sits on the London steamships P&I committee as well as the Lloyd's and DNV Shipowners committees. He is Chairman of the Marshall Foundation which supports philanthropic ventures in Asia and lives in Singapore. Berge Bulk is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
Esben Poulsson
Singapore Shipping Association
Esben Poulsson is Executive Chairman of ENESEL PTE. LTD., a Singapore based commercial management and ship owning entity, managing 14 large modern container vessels all under the Singapore Flag. Mr. Poulsson has worked in the maritime industry for over 40 years and has held a variety of senior management positions in Hong Kong, London, Copenhagen and Singapore. Aside from his Chairmanship of Enesel Pte. Ltd., he is a Non-Executive Director of X-Press Feeders Ltd., of Hafnia Tankers Pte. Ltd. and of Avra International Pte. Ltd. He is non-executive Chairman of Cambiaso Risso Asia Pte. Ltd. and serves as Senior Advisor to Straits Tankers Pte. Ltd. He also serves on the Board of the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), and was appointed to the Baltic Exchange Council following its acquisition by the SGX. He was elected President of the Singapore Shipping Association in June 2015 and is an Advisory Panel Member of the Singapore Maritime Foundation. In 2016, he was elected Chairman of the London-based International Chamber of Shipping, which represents about 80% of the world fleet through a membership of 35 National Shipowner Association and 11 Associate Member Organisations.
Beng Tee Tan

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
Ms. Tan is the Assistant Chief Executive (Development) of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) who oversees developmental matters pertaining to Singapore as an International Maritime Centre, MPA's international ties and linkages, port policies and organisation-wide plans. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Diploma in Shipping from the Norad Fellowship in Oslo, Norway. Ms. Tan was previously Director (Corporate Group) in International Enterprise Singapore. In 2008, Ms. Tan received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Lloyd's List Asia Awards for her work in the development of Singapore as an International Maritime Centre. She was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 1997 for her contributions to the development of the transport and logistics industry in Singapore. In August 2012, she attained the Public Administration Medal (Silver) (Bar) in recognition of her continued contribution in developing Singapore as an International Maritime Centre.

Mr. Tsoutsoplides has served as Eagle’s Director of Strategy and Business Development since 2015.  In this capacity, his responsibilities include: Sale & Purchase, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Research, and Special Projects.  From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Tsoutsoplides held various positions within the finance division, including Director of Finance.

Prior to joining Eagle, Mr. Tsoutsoplides was with Aegean for two years where his responsibilities included: Capital Markets, Finance, and Investor Relations.  Mr. Tsoutsoplides previously spent seven years at Citigroup (New York) as a Vice President in Foreign Exchange Corporate Sales and as an Associate in High Yield Debt Sales.
Celio Wakamatsu
General Manager, Asia & Chartering Manager, East of Suez
Ardmore Shipping
Celio is Ardmore Shipping's Chartering Manager for East of Suez, as well as the General Manager for Ardmore Shipping Asia. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Singapore Shipping Association's Young Executives Group. Prior to that, he has worked as a Charterer for Petrobras for 13 years in Rio de Janeiro, Houston and Singapore. Celio holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, Master of Logistics and also an MBA in Shipping and Logistics.
Tom Zachariassen

Tom Zachariassen is Head of Shipping, Offshore & Oil Services – Asia at Nordea Bank. Tom has more than 15 years of experience in the ship finance industry, and have been based in Singapore for close to 12 years. His customer responsibility area covers South East Asia and Far East Asia, and include both private and public listed companies.
